Kathy Mouacheupao is a Program Officer for Creative Placemaking with the Twin Cities Local Initiatives Support Corporation (TC LISC). She was a 2011 Bush Leadership Fellow researching the Hmong diaspora with an emphasis on arts and culture. Kathy was the Executive Director for the Center for Hmong Arts and Talent (CHAT) from 2005-2011 working at the intersection of arts, culture and community. She was the recipient of the first VISION Award in 2005, the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council’s Arts Acheivement Award in 2009 and the Sally Ordway Irvine Initiative Award in 2010 - the same year Mayor Chris Coleman declaired May 21st as Kathy Mouacheupao Day. HmongFM gives a glimpse into the Hmong Amercian experience and broadens audiences for Hmong artists.
