Jerry has been on the air at KFAI since 1979, and has been the host of Sound Affects since 1994. He has a long background in writing, producing and teaching audio theater. He has been on the staff of the National Audio Theatre Festivals workshop (NATF) several times. He won the Midwest Radio Theater Workshop's script contest twice, and has won a NFCB Golden Reel Award for Best Radio Drama, and a Mark Time Award for Best Science Fiction Audio production.
He was the Executive Producer of the Twin Cities Radio Theater Workshop in 1997, and of the Independent Audio Theater Producers Conference in 2004. He is the coordinator for the annual Mark Time Awards and Ogle Awards for Science Fiction and Fantasy Audio.
At KFAI Jerry is on the Training Committee, teaching radio skills to new volunteers since 1989.
