Sex is an odd thing. It’s seemingly everywhere, and yet you can’t really talk about it. One group has been performing sex positive and informative sketches, scenes, and improv to de-stigmatize sex and empower people to embrace their physical and sexual autonomy.
Kim Hines is an African-American queer woman who is a theater artist, author, mentor and educator. She has been in the business of theater over 50+ years and her plays have been performed around the country.
Belonging to a family of doctors and medical professionals, she is well-versed in health issues and her family has been severely impacted by the vast array of disinformation surrounding COVID-19. KFAI’s Dixie Treichel spoke with Hines about her personal and professional experiences throughout the pandemic.
Annie Enneking has made her life in the performing arts since childhood, and finds that muscularity – both physical and metaphysical – is at the heart of all the art forms she is passionate about: teaching, songwriting, fight choreography, acting, and being the front woman of her rock band Annie and the Bang Bang. She quit acting six years ago, and has since embraced fight direction in theatre, and performing music in her band.
