This week, Sam speaks with Natasha Jerde and Lisa Larges. They discuss State Services for The Blind’s 100-year anniversary and other changes within the department.
Thanks for Making KFAI’s Garden Party a Success
We want to thank everyone who came out to enjoy our inaugural KFAI Garden Party on Sunday, September 29, 2019, hosted by Bruce Brunner and Donna Minter of the MN Peacebuilding Leadership Institute. Thanks to all who mingled, danced and shared community with us.
Thank you for the donated sets by local band Little Fevers, who will be having an album-release show at the Cedar on December 20, 2019. Our thanks as well to Jumondeh Tweh for providing us with a soundtrack for fires and cocktails. Delicious food was generously provided by Northern Waters Smokehaus in Duluth, Khyber Pass Café in St. Paul, and local co-ops Mississippi Market and Seward Co-op. Specialty cocktails were graciously provided by Lawless Distilling Company in Minneapolis.
We hope to see you at future Garden Parties and at KFAI sponsored events all year round!
Because of the generosity of those who attended and who donated at the party, we surpassed our fundraising goal. Long live KFAI! Grateful thanks for donations to prize drawings from our hosts and from Savita Bettaglio, esthetician. If you didnât have a chance to donate, you can give now!
Finally, many thanks to Louise Lens for photography.
