The KFAI family is heartbroken to report the sudden loss of long-time KFAI volunteer and friend Patricia ‘Pat’ Nelson. We’re awaiting remembrance details from the family and will share them as they become available.
Here’s a special programming highlight (Pride 2023) with Pat in conversation with KFAI producer and long-time friend Dixie Treichel.
Segment description: “Pat Nelson, an African-American queer woman, is the owner and principal of NelsonWorks LLC, partnering with individuals and small/home businesses in the how-to’s of information technology. Her love of technology also led her to become a licensed Ham Radio operator. Previously, Pat worked in health care. She holds a BS in Management and an MS in Community Health and Health Care Administration from Long Island University in New York.”
