Christopher Dronen Obituary

Christopher “Chris” Dronen, 71, of Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024.

Christopher had a passion for music and embraced this throughout his life. He was a multi-instrumentalist and served on the board of a local radio station, KFAI. Christopher recorded performances of artists from around the world and valued the musical community at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis. Christopher was also an avid comic collector, movie afficionado and history buff.

He is survived by wife of 37 years, Katherine Jursik; sons, Eric and Peter (Jessica); grandson, Samuel; sister, Elyce Santerre; numerous nieces, loving family in the US and Norway and many friends.

Preceded in death by parents, Maurice and Ruth Alice.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S., Mpls, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow at Lakewood Garden Mausoleum Reception Hall after the burial.
