March on Washington Remembered (Part 4)

This week marks the 50th anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech.  The March is widely credited for helping to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.   Among the 250,000 people who marched for jobs and freedom were 58 Minnesotans.

Three members of the Minnesota contingent recently came to KFAI to share their memories with producer Susan Gray and intern Ahmad Aly.  Here’s part four of the conversation with  Dr. Josie Johnson, Rev. Rollie Robinson and Mr. Max Fallek
