The final Echo Chamber of 2011…
Ready to usher in a brand New Year. And quite a fun way to go out… A few new items; some Christmas leftovers; and around half a dozen renditions of “Auld Lang Syne”, including the sublime Ghetto Priest version.
Mathieu Rivière, executive director of Sofitel, is our guest this evening. Mathieu, originally from Chartres, France, will speak of seasonal food specialties such as the Bûche de Noël (Yule Log cake) and the Galette des Rois (Kings’ Cake) served on January 6 (Epiphany or Kings’ Day) to commemorate the arrival of the 3 kings at the stable where Jesus was born. Listeners are invited to purchase both cakes at the Sofitel Petit Marché.
