The Steele siblings helped shape the Minnesota sound, singing with icons like Prince and Mavis Staples and performing all over the world. Now Jevetta Steele is mentoring another family group called Nunnabove. The Nunn siblings appeared on the show America’s Got Talent and went on to play at Paisley Park and open for Chaka Khan.
KFAI’s Michelle Bruch joined both families as they rehearsed for the Minnesota Soul concert at U.S. Bank Stadium.
MinneCulture arts, culture and history stories air on KFAI. We also record and produce concerts featuring local musicians in our "Live from Minnesota" series. In 2019, five (5!)
