HUGE Improv Theater is moving. The longform improv theater, originally based at Lyndale and 31st, has spent the summer transforming the south half of Art Materials into a place for creativity, comedy, and performance. While HUGE is purchasing the space, Art Materials will continue to operate in the north half of the building.
HUGE Theater is expected to open their new space at 2728 Lyndale Ave in mid-October. In the meantime, their fall line-up of shows are performing at Center for Performing Arts.
Leaders from HUGE spoke with KFAI’s Sheila Regan about the reasoning behind the move, as well the community support that got them through the process.
