It’s Season Seven of Dollar Bin!

It’s Season Seven of Dollar Bin!

Today (Tuesday, Jan. 7) at noon CST on Fresh Air 2 you can catch the seventh season premiere of Dollar Bin!

Dollar Bin is a presentation of musical items picked up for one dollar or less. It usually runs “an hour and a bit.” The program made its debut on kfai.org as a “web-exclusive” back on January 1, 2019 with Episode 001.  Today is the debut of Dollar Bin 301!

Dollar Bin is presented by “Weekend on Demand” host CRZ, who has amassed an astonishing amount of cheap music over the decades. He says he’s partial to the 12 inch singles and remixes of the disco and electronic eras but “when it’s this cheap, almost anything goes and anything can catch my eye – the piggy bank is almost always open!”  He also adds, “please ignore all the crates scattered about my house – I stopped working on it YEARS ago…”

Over the years, Dollar Bin has moved from kfai.org exclusivity to KFAI’s Mixcloud page, then to FA2, now available on 90.3 KFAI-HD2, kfai.org and the KFAI Community Radio app. The show streams at noon on Tuesdays (with an encore on FA2 Fridays at 6PM), then can be found on demand in the archive at kfai.org for 14 days. Every episode is also archived on Mixcloud soon after broadcast.

Dollar Bin 301 debuts on FA2 airing from noon to 1:12 and features music from Pointer Sisters, Shalamar, Utah Saints and many more!
