Celebrating Black Histories & Black Futures on KFAI with special programming curated by D.A. Bullock (host of No Name In The Street).
“New Black Voices” – this Black History Month we have an eye toward the future, an eye toward future history makers. We want to use the platform to highlight brilliant new voices in the Black community, folks who don’t get the shine they deserve, may go unrecognized in the background, folks you may not have heard of or from.
Each week throughout the month of February will brings a different theme for amplifying New Black Voices:
Tuesday, February 4 – 10am-12pm – cultural politics – exhilarating conversations with new voices sharing politics from an art, music and culture perspective.
Wednesday, February 12 – 10am-12pm & 1pm-4pm – economics, mutual aid, imaginations in thriving.
Thursday, February 20 – 2pm-6pm leadership; art and expression.
Friday, February 28 – 6pm-8pm – Black unity, community, murmurations and vibrations
