5/13/2012 Sound Affects: A Radio Playground

Feature Presentation - The Lux Radio Theater broadcast radio adaptations of popular films during the 1940s and 50s. This is a special 90-minute live broadcast of the old movie serial, The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, performed for troop morale at a base in California in 1944. It features an all star cast including Mickey Rooney as Luke, Humphrey Bogart as Han Solo, Katherine Hepburn as Princess Leia, Jimmy Stewart as Obi-Wan and many more. We will play excerpts from the broadcast, and comment on the production, the cast, and how it was done.
