Blueslady's Time Machine

Rose Robinson was born in Greenville, Mississippi, Queen City of the Delta. She comes from a musical family and played her first guitar at age six. She's experienced cotton fields and jukejoints, spent time with Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Reed, and now she’s on KFAI to introduce us all to some real Blues.

Join Rose each week as she explores the history of the blues, gives you this day in history, sometimes shares a recipe or two, and engages you with the wackiest contests around. The last Thursday of every month is devoted to "Golden Soul", the best of Rhythm & Blues and soul music.

Heart of the City Radio

Heart of the City Radio is produced by local musicians for local musicians! That means that all the music you hear is locally produced by current or former Minnesota Christian recording artists, oftentimes right here in the Twin Cities. Production-wise, our music often rivals the major labels! What's more, Heart of the City Radio music is truly eclectic, so in a typical hour-long show you'll hear 10-12 songs ranging from pop, to black gospel and everything in between! And remember, through your listening loyalty and by purchasing some of their music, you encourage and support all this great local talent, and thus you inspire them to continue making more great music!
