Roots

Harold Tremblay brings a mix of new and old blues, roots/Americana and more. Weekly live in studio performances, interviews and the "What's Happenin'" music calendar.

Every week "Live From Studio 5!" airs live performances in our studios of local bands of all different genres. Occasionally we interview national artists such as Wanda Jackson, Kid Koala and Dale Watson. "Live From Studio 5!" is a group effort hosted by Cher Dial, Doug The Thug and Dew Glass with lots of help from others.

Louisiana Rhythms is hosted by 4 alternating hosts: Karl Smelker, Eric Mohring, Maurine McCort & Mick Novak. We feature music from Louisiana, especially southwest Louisiana. That means lots of Cajun, Zydeco, and Swamp Pop, old and new. We might also sneak in some second line from New Orleans or some blues from Baton Rouge, or who knows what.

"Malarkey" 1. Exaggerated or foolish talk, usually intended to deceive. 2. Meaningless talk; nonsense.

MinneCulture programs are part of KFAI's Legacy Project, which highlights Minnesota arts, culture, history and the environment. MinneCulture airs every Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 8pm.

_Pam Without Boundaries_, hosted by Pam, features an eclectic blend of singer-songwriters, rock bands, world music, and electronic beats alongside exclusive features such as:

* 10:15am highlights of this week's new releases: you'll go to the record store in-the-know for what's coming out Tuesday!
* 10:30am we're often joined by local, national or international musicians for music and some chat.
* 11am weekday concert calendar, because, face it, some weeks, you need live music to get you through it. You will also find a concert calendar at this time on Tuesdays and Thursdays on KFAI!
* Just before noon it's the Featured Festival: a couple of songs from an upcoming festival or benefit I want to be sure you know about.

We look forward to getting your music week started right on KFAI, Radio Without Boundaries.
