  • August 2016 - Modern Kicks is a KFAI show on the schedule at midnight on Wednesday.  Hosted by Sean Hansen

Every Friday morning, Blanche presents an overwhelmingly appealing blend of funk, jazz and modern and ancient music with spiritual roots from around the world.

Jumping borders of language, culture and heritage, Doug Cain brings music from around the globe - with occasional commentary on events and issues. You can get a hold of him thru e-mail at .

"Come to the Circle" is the tag line of this show, Global Roots, KFAI's newest offering of world and electic music. It features the very best that KFAI has to offer by blending music styles to create a sound that reflects of all the world's tribes. Each program host has contributed music to this show that is representative of what their show offers, so Global Roots resonates with the variety and diversity we showcase at KFAI.

Signing off.

Heart of the City Radio is produced by local musicians for local musicians! That means that all the music you hear is locally produced by current or former Minnesota Christian recording artists, oftentimes right here in the Twin Cities. Production-wise, our music often rivals the major labels! What's more, Heart of the City Radio music is truly eclectic, so in a typical hour-long show you'll hear 10-12 songs ranging from pop, to black gospel and everything in between! And remember, through your listening loyalty and by purchasing some of their music, you encourage and support all this great local talent, and thus you inspire them to continue making more great music!

Jazz is an evolving language with deep roots and sprawling branches. Representing each root and branch is a unique culture that amalgamated with the whole of it. Jazz Diaspora is reflection on this family tree loosely called Jazz.
