Mark "Slim" Stevens has been a blues fan since the tender age of 13 when he went to see Johnny Winter playing with someone named Muddy Waters. That night changed the trajectory of his life, and still provides the inspiration that powers THE BIG BLUE TRAIN, a weekly 2 hour web-exclusive program filled with Blues, Retro-Soul, and Roots Rock & Roll.

The Blueslady's Time Machine ended a 30 year run on KFAI in February of 2017, when legendary host Rose Robinson decided to retire the program.

Rose Robinson was born in Greenville, Mississippi, Queen City of the Delta.  She comes from a musical family and played her first guitar at age six.  She's experienced cotton fields and jukejoints, spent time with Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Reed.  No one knows the real Blues better than Rose Robinson.

Your host Harold Tremblay provides contemporary Blues like Lil’ Ed and the Blues Imperials, William Clarke and Lonnie Brooks. He offers old classic and roots Blues artists like Muddy Waters, R.L. Burnside and Elmore James. Listen for weekly live in studio performances, interviews and the "What's Happenin'" music calendar.
