Arts & Culture

The Morning Blend combines the resources of the station’s news and music programmers to create a blend of information and entertainment designed to help you start your day. Interviews, reports and excerpts from other programs on the KFAI schedule are included. You never know exactly what’s in store when you’re listening between 6-8 a.m. weekdays; we’re making it up as we go.

Every week "Live From Studio 5!" airs live performances in our studios of local bands of all different genres. Occasionally we interview national artists such as Wanda Jackson, Kid Koala and Dale Watson. "Live From Studio 5!" is a group effort hosted by Cher Dial, Doug The Thug and Dew Glass with lots of help from others.

We want this show to be a place for us to showcase our many musical influences (Bachata, Cumbia, Funk, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Merengue, Reggae, Rock, Salsa, Samba, Soul, Chicano/Tejano).

KFAI is proud to present _Poquito y Bueno_, the first worldwide English-language flamenco webcast! This short and sweet half-hour program presents a panoply of flamenco music ranging from the first to the very latest recordings.

*Cinema Shanty airs every Friday Morning during "KFAI Weekly News":https://www.kfai.org/node/30217 (9-10am), always in the last ten minutes of the show (between 9:50 and 10:00am). Also available via "podcast":http://www.kfai.org/podcasts

Cinema Shanty is the newly revamped film discussion show, formerly known as Movie Talk.
