Poquito y Bueno: A Short and Sweet Flamenco Show

KFAI is proud to present Poquito y Bueno, the first worldwide English-language flamenco webcast! This short and sweet half-hour weekly program presents a panoply of flamenco music ranging from the first to the very latest recordings. Our shows are spiked with exclusive interviews of contemporary performers - including both the famous and the obscure, and we also feature a local (and when appropriate, international) performance and events calendar. Tune-in and tune-up your aficionado rating!

JULY 17 SHOW - Kristina brings together a flock of cantes that all called some sort of guajira on their CD jackets, but not all of them are recognisable as gaujiras...though all of them sway like guajiras...

JULY 24 SHOW - Kristina calls this week's show "Flecos Aflamencados," referring to the flamenco-like CDs she finds in the flamenco "fringe" section in Corte Ingles, that mix things like rock and roll music with cante por solea. This is one strange and fun show!

JULY 31 SHOW - More flecos this week as Kristina devotes an entire show to the Martires de Compas.
