July 2015 Archives

A wide ranging program today, loosely based on languages.  Opening with Latin sounds from Argentina, Peru, & Cuba — other cultural representatives pass through.  Female representation from Buffy Sainte-Marie, Angelique Kidjo, Stella Chiweshe, and Kine Lam round it out.  African countries featured in the second hour include Zimbabwe, Congo, Cote D'Ivoire, Mali, & Senegal — winding in up with Italian star, Paolo Conte.

New releases by Richard Thompson, Wee Willie Walker, Vanish Valley, and Hot Roux.  Cool older stuff by the likes of Graham Parker, Concrete Blonde, Heptones, Dan Hicks, Elmore James, Blues Project, Evis Costello and more.  Plus, a couple tracks by Miss Tess & The Talkback – check them out at our Roots Rock & Deep Blues Festival Pre-Party on July 17 at Harriet Brewing.
