Jack Klatt & Patrick Harrison of Jack Klatt & The Cat Swingers were my guests this week. Also, I played lots of music that was released last year, 2012. And, of course, we had our weekly installment of “We Hope You’re Ready For Flo & Eddie”.
Annual “Dearly Departed” show co-hosted with David Cummings. Each year we cover music by artists who passed away the previous year. Part one airs on David’s cool program “Rockin’ In Rhythm”, 2:00 Monday afternoons. Then we conclude it on Freewheelin’.
Scottie Miller, great keyboardist from the Twin Cities stopped by the studio. In addition to his own career, he’s a member of Ruthie Foster’s band (KFAI is bringing them to Hopkins on Tuesday). He’ll also be playing Freewheelin’ 1st Friday on Feb. 1 at Harriet Brewing (plus Mary Cutrufello and her band). New music included Anders Osborne, Aaron Neville, Lucinda Williams, and Brian Laidlaw & The Family Trade. Plus the usual eclectic mix from multiple genres. Ruthie Foster, Gary Clark Jr., Dr. John, Hot Tuna, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Deadstring Bros., Texas Tornados, Lucinda Williams, Stephen Stills, Muddy Waters, and lots more. Click “Espisode Details” for the entire list. You may also link into the archive from that page.
