December 2010 Freewheelin' Archives

12/29/2010 Freewheelin'

…..just let it rip today….lots of music, minimum talk…the way a music show is supposed to be. The only new release I played was an advance of a new one by Greg Allman, produced by T-Bone Burnett.

Click “More” below to be magically taken to the playlist page and a link to the archive of the show. The music starts around 3 minutes, 55 seconds into the archived file, just after the news break.

Bounced around today, threw in a few holiday songs including the new Dan Hicks release and a couple versions of “Merry Christmas From The Family” by Robert Earl Keen.

Click “more” below and you’ll magically be sent to the playlist page…where you may also tune in to the archives.

New music, in addition to the above mentioned Dan Hick & The Hot Licks Christmas album, included a smokin’ new one by Freddie Vanderford from South Carolina.

Lots of junk today….all over the board, as usual. Click “more” below to read the entire playlist and listen to the archive.

12/8/2010 Freewheelin'

New music from Martin Devaney, Jeremy Joyce, a live song by Wilco, and a few others. Played some Beatles-related stuff in honor of John Lennon.

For the playlist and a link to the archives, click “more”. The archives start just after a news break, 2-3 minutes into the broadcast.

12/1/2010 Freewheelin'

Thanks to The Pistol Whippin’ Party Penguins for stopping by the show today. We chatted; they played. Also, thanks to everyone who showed up Friday night for the Freewheelin’ First Friday presentation of Yuletide Sweater Ball 111, featuring the Pistol Whippin’ Party Penguins and The Boys N’ The Barrels. Whew, what a party!!

If you click the little blue “more” link below, you’ll be directed to the playist for the radio show and the patch to listen to it……music starts about 4:00 minutes into the archive, just after the by now, stale news.

Also, info for FREE tickets to Charlie Parr and Spider John Koerner is available in the “announcements” section above.
