Thanks to Roy Hubbs (band) for coming in to chat and perform live in the studio. We’re hosting a CD Release party for them at Freewheelin’ 1st Friday, October 1 at the 331 Club. Ray B & The Reverberation open.

Played the new ones from Justin Townes Earle and Peter Case on the show.

Played “Cry Cry Cry” by the Brass Messengers as a tribute to band member Ethan Johnson who was tragically killed in a car accident this week by a reckless jerk who was driving at highway speeds in a congested city neighborhood and broadsided Ethan’s vehicle. The Brass Messengers worked with me on Art A Whirl, Fat Tuesday, and other station events.
