Today we listened to a morning raga by Veena Sahasrasbuddha, from an Indian Music Society concert August 25, 2007. It was a Sunday morning concert which featured rarely heard morning ragas.
Today we listen to the great Irish group Lunasa during the first hour. Their live show was recorded in 2005 at the Cedar Cultural Center. Recording Engineer was Chris Dronen, edit by Dan Rein.
During the second hour we had playwright Rhiana Yazzie, and director Haley Finn talking about their play Ady, by Pangea World Theatre.
During the first hour we heard part four on the Ethnic Music of Iran. This show featured music of the Turkman of Northeastern Iran.
