Also, Los Angeles-based TeAda Productions presents Leilani Chan’s “Refugee Nation” at Intermedia Arts.
Nordic Roots scholar and musician, Kari Tauring. We talk about her Völva Staving (sacred body geometry and toning in a Norse cultural context; runes, staff rhythm, and voice combine to create physical alignment with the world tree of Norse cosmology), her recent recording “Nykken and Bear” (with musicians Drew Miller and David Stenshoel, of Boiled in Lead) as well as delving into what she calls inherited cultural grief and healing. Her pioneering Nordic Roots work landed her a role on the Norwegian reality TV show, “Alt For Norge” in 2009!
