Guest Ray Tricomo speaks of early (17th cent.)visitors and theirs relationships with indigenous peoples of North America. Ray later speaks of a dear friend, a Frenchman who immersed himself in the culture of SW American native culture who was accepted as one of their own. The music played comes from old and new artists from France and French-speaking countries.

Tonight’s program is a mix of old and new music from France and French-speaking countries. We will be playing an excerpt from the Minnesota Opera’s newly-commissioned works, Silent Night.

Tonight’s program features Advent music from the monks of Keur Moussa Abbey in Senegal. A short story follows about Advent in several areas of France.

Chef Pierre Rabbia of the Cordon Bleu culinary school is our guest this evening. He will speak of French food and preparation.
