Twin Cities vocalist Teresa Manzella stopped by to talk about her career, her involvement in jazz, and a date at the Hat Trick Lounge. I played new music by Radam Schwartz and Esperanza Spalding, as well as classics from the Jazz Crusaders, Milt Jackson, Jimmie Lunceford, and Charles Mingus.

9/25/2010 Rhythm and Grooves

For the first show of the 2010 Fall Pledge Drive I played music by Joey Defrancesco, Lockjaw Davis (with Coleman Hawkins!), Hank Mobley, Mauricio de Souza, Buddy Collete, Valaida Snow, Curtis Fuller, and Andy Farber. The Mingus Moment featured Better Get Hit in Your Soul. Thanks to Molly and Crazy John for their pledges, and to Bill from Mostly Jazz and David Cummings for sitting in as well.
