Dean Magraw joined us at 11am, setting up the songs we would hear from his new album with Marcus Wise, How the Light Gets In. He also gave us a peek into recording the project with whom he calls the third collaborator, Matthew Zimmerman, at Wild Sound Studio. Although Marcus was unable to make the interview, his spirit was there through the recording, and Dean gave us insight into the rhythms he brought to the project, too. Listen in the second hour if you missed the original broadcast.

This morning we heard a little rockabilly set in tribute to the club I found in Fort Lauderdale, and if you ever find yourself there, you can get in touch with like-minded, quirky music geeks at the Monterey Club. Local DJs, rockabilly, psychobilly, punk, hardcore, and more… http://www.themontereyclub.net/:http://www.themontereyclub.net/
Time flew this morning as Drew Miller and Steve Clarke filled the 11:00 hour with music from the new Felonious Bosch:http://www.feloniousbosch.com album, music from Zations, and Boiled in Lead, for whom Zations will open on December 10th at the Cedar Cultural Center:http://www.thecedar.org. We did fit in some other music, including Wise-Magraw, Javier Trejo from the new Old Stage Tapes project (Turf Club, December 5th), and Low.
