We air a rebroadcast of an interview with Bob Van Laerhoven about his novel Beaudelaire's Revenge: A Novel. He is the author of more than 30 books published in Dutch, French and English. He won the Hercule Poirot Prize for Beaudelaire's Revenge as well as the USA Best Book Award 2014.

We speak with Elizabeth Harris about her new novel Mayhem: Three Lives of a Woman. She is also the author of the story collection The Ant Generator, which won the John Simmons Prize. Her stories have been published in many magazines, and she taught fiction writing and modern literature at the University of Texas in Austin.

We devote the show to science fiction, chatting with Steve McEllistrem and Steve Toutonghi about their respective work. First up is Steve Toutonghi, who will discuss his debut novel Join, which examines what it would be like to live multiple lives simultaneously. He studied fiction and poetry and resides in Seattle.

We speak with Michael McConnell and Jack Baker about their new book, The Wedding Heard 'Round the World: America's First Gay Marriage, which took place on September 3, 1971.
