April 2013 Write On! Radio Archives

We speak with Bruce Feiler about his new book The Secrets of Happy Families. He is the bestselling author of many books, including Walking the Bible, Abraham, America's Prophet, and his most recent, The Council of Dads.

Tuesday, April 9th. We did something a little different this week. We discussed our writing among ourselves. Steve McEllistrem, Lynette Reini-Grandell, Antonia Felix, G.E. Patterson and Kristin Johnson all read something of their own or something they really liked and we chatted about  what we're currently writing and why Write On! Radio is so important to us that we volunteer our time and money.

We speak with bestselling author CJ Box about his new Joe Pickett novel Breaking Point. He has won the Edgar, Anthony, Macavity, Gumshoe and Barry Awards, as well as the French Prix Calibre .38.

We also speak with award-winning theater artist Virginia Grise about her work. Her play Blu won the Yale Drama Series Award and a Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Award, as well as an Alliance Theatre’s Kendeda Award. And she also co-wrote The Panza Monologues.

We speak with Michael Stanley, the writing team of Michael Sears and Stanley Trollip, who write the Detective Kubu mystery series, about their new novel Deadly Harvest. Their previous book, Death of the Mantis, won the Barry Award, and they also wrote A Carrion Death, and The Second Death of Goodluck Tinubu.

We speak with Christina Baker Kline about her new novel Orphan Train. She is the author of four other novels entitled Sweet Water, Desire Lines, The Way Life Should Be, and Bird in Hand.
