February 2014 Malarkey-Radio with an Irish Accent Archives

Cormac O'Sé (O'Shea), Founder/Owner of The Celtic Junction was here to talk about The Celtic Junction and about his time as a principal dancer with Riverdance and play his piano accordion.

The great Bellows Bros (Tom Klein & Dan (Daddy Squeeze) Newton) kept us speechless for 30 minutes and that's a first. Tom on uilleann (elbow) pipes and Dan on accordion played some sweet sounds. No CDs just live music all the way.

With the Six Nations Rugby Tournament in full swing we thought a discussion on rugby would be timely.

Sean and Judy Clerkin dropped in to tell us about the St. Patrick's Day events scheduled for in and around Minneapolis. We like the Wee Leprachaun Contest for kids ages one through nine. We also had a live phone-in interview with Michael Harrison, fiddle player with Irish Band Full Set which plays the Cedar Cultural Center this coming Friday (February 28). Check out their latest CD, Notes After Dark.
