4/19/2009 Womenfolk

Here's the playlist from Sunday's pledge drive edition of Womenfolk with lots of new releases and old favorites. Pam and Angie joined me as co-hosts while I played DJ remotely from the East Coast, where I was attending a friend's wedding. If you missed the fun, listen to the archived show here:http://www.kfai.org/node/123.

*If you haven't already donated to Womenfolk during KFAI's Spring Pledge Drive, it's not too late!* Just click here:http://www.kfai.org/pledge. It would mean the world to me if you would give something, even if it's only $5. Not only do I host a show on KFAI, but I have been a contributing member every since I moved to town in 2001. I can safely say there is no station like it--with over 400 volunteers bringing you 90 different programs in more than 13 languages. As a community, volunteer-run station, KFAI relies on listener support and foundation grants. Most of these grants care more about numbers of pledgers than about gift amounts so when I say $5 is sufficient I really mean it! Please give what you can, and help the station reach its modest $100,000 goal to keep us powering at 900 watts and online via the world wide web.

As a special thank-you to anyone who gives on Womenfolk, I'll be sending out *a sampler from Red House Records' 25th anniversary box set* to everyone who donates on the show--*an exclusive available only when you pledge on Womenfolk*. This is in addition to any other thank-you gifts you might be eligible for from KFAI!

You can pledge online any time here:http://www.kfai.org/pledge. Thanks for your support of women's music and people-powered radio!

With love 'n thanks, Ellen.
