Rhythm and Grooves

Join host Larry Englund every Tuesday night from 10:30 p.m. to midnight for "Rhythm and Grooves". He'll play old and new releases and recent reissues as he explores classic and contemporary jazz, featuring artists like Cannonball Adderley, Joshua Redman, Irv Williams, Art Blakey, John Coltrane, Nicolas Payton, How Birds Work, Happy Apple, Jack McDuff, Duke Ellington, Joe Lovano, Karryn Allyson, and others, including both the famous and the overlooked.

In the past few years, Larry has interviewed resident artists such as Irv Williams, Connie Evingson, Jim Marentic, George Avaloz, Christine Rosholt, JelloSlave, Electropolis, Kellly Rossom, Happy Apple, Charmin Michelle & Joel Shapira, Clay Moore, Triplicate, Laura Caviani, and Chill 7. He's also interviewed visiting artists such as Melvin Sparks, Rick Germanson, Chris McNulty & Paul Bollenbeck. You can expect an annual Mardis Gras Show and other specials, and the occasional extended segment featuring a particular artist.
