3/26/2008 Echo Chamber

Well, it was one of those weeks when so much new stuff arrived that it was hard to get to everything. The latest Chimp Beams:http://www.myspace.com/chimpbeams; straight from the artist tracks from Love Grocer (Big D!), Tony Dubshot:http://www.myspace.com/tonydubshot, Trevor The Technician McKenzie, and Daily Bread Dub. New downloads from eMusic.com...and, a whole bunch of great new stuff from Six Degrees:http://www.sixdegreesrecords.com, including Cheb i Sabbah's excellent new Devotion and the Dub Qawwali Remixes EP. But there was still more new tunes: the excellent Sonido Amazonico (Barbes) from the Chicha-revivalists Chicha Libre; the cool house-y, dubby Men Village track from Wareika (clocking in at 14+ minutes); and the Jamendo.com EP Roots Space Echo from Roots Ista Posse. Finally, rounding out the program were Mikey Dread (Autobiography), Dry Heavy (covering Riders On the Storm from a YouTube video), Sheriff Lindo And The Hammer, Drain, Blue Elephant Studio, Cool Wise Men (another YouTube video), Bad Manners, James Hardway, and our own Mutant Frogs. All one can say is Wow!
