Finding Solid Ground is a one-hour documentary that examines residents' sense of security in New Orleans and the Louisiana Gulf Coast, after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. From public housing to Uptown mansions, city music clubs to rural fishing docks, this special covers a range of perspectives. As Louisianans continue to piece and patch together solutions to social, environmental, and economic crises, Finding Solid Ground is an audio snapshot that aims to answer the question: What's it like down there now?
*2pm: _Jazz Profiles: Sun Ra_*
He was an avatar of free improvisation and the first to bring electronics and synthesizers into jazz. But he was also a pianist for the Fletcher Henderson big band. This show is about Sun Ra's Cosmic Swing.
