Snoopycat: The Adventures of Marian Anderson's Cat Snoopy by Marian Anderson
Legendary contralto Marian Anderson repeatedly broke the race barrier in classical music, most notably when she performed on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1939 after being refused a concert spot at Constitution Hall. It was released in 1963 on Folkways Records; the same year President Kennedy chose her to be a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient.
