5/26/2013: The Origins of the James Bond Theme

With Dave Rolf.

Crime Jazz, Lounge Music, Spy Jazz - heck, this guy practically invented it!  James Bond? No, not him. John Barry...or is that Monty Norman?  This edition of the WAVE project puts to rest the origins of one of the most iconic movie themes of all time - The James Bond Theme.  We will discover the unlikely combinations of composer Monty Norman and arranger John Barry that together created the signature theme for 007 and in the process practically invented a whole new genre of music.
