We speak with acclaimed author James Kelman about his new novel Mo said she was quirky. He is the Booker Prize-winning author of How Late it Was, How Late, and has also written short stories, plays and other novels, including the award-winning Greyhound for Breakfast and A Disaffection, which was short-listed for the Man Booker Prize.

We also speak with Rachel Hanel about her new book We’ll be the Last Ones to Let You Down: Memoir of a Gravedigger’s Daughter. She is a writer, university administrator and journalist, and has written more than 20 nonfiction books for children.
