11/4/2012 Sound Affects: A Radio Playground

Feature Presentation - The Audio Comics Company presents detective Honey West in Murder on Mars.  Honey is hired to investigate the death of B-movie actress, Zu Zu Varga.  Someone says it wasn't an accident.  Part 1 (of 3) tonight. Adapted by Elaine Lee from her mini-series, and featuring characters from the Honey West novels by G. G. Fickling.

Second Feature -  A Tom Stoppard play from the BBC, it's If You're Glad, I'll Be Frank.  In which Frank hears the voice of his old love, Gladys, on the telephone. She's the one who announces the time every few seconds.  He recognizes her right away, and decides he needs to find her.  Right now.  Recovered from the archives of the University of Minnesota radio station, KUOM. Produced at WHA, of Wisconsin Public Radio.  Thanks to Marion Watson for this old tape.
