09/18/12 Charles and Beryl share the reading of "The Consummation" by Charles Galsworthy (1867-1933), British writer best known today for "The Forsyte Saga", made into a very successful television series on Masterpiece Theatre. Galsworthy used his writings as a commentary on social justice - the inequitable treatment of rich and poor in Edwardian England. Beryl followed this story with a reading of "Oliver's Evolution" by John Updike, originally published in 1998 in Esquire magazine.
