We chat with young adult author and librarian James Klise and educator Catherine Kelly of St. Catherine University about censorship and controversy in young adult literature. James will discuss his controversial debut novel for teens Love Drugged and his own experiences selecting books, and Catherine will discuss her previous work as a middle school teacher and now as an educator of pre-service teachers and librarians.
We also speak with Molly Beth Griffin about her young adult historical novel Silhouette of a Sparrow -- a coming-of-age story about the search for wildness during the confining 1920s--a tale of a young woman discovering the art of rebellion and the power of unexpected love.
