We speak with Catherine Lundoff, the author of Silver Moon, a highly entertaining novel in which  protagonist Becca Thornton discovers that she isn't just experiencing menopausal symptoms: she's also becoming a werewolf.  Fortunately, this has happened to a number of other women of a certain age in the small town of Wolf's Point, so Becca is in good company.

In the second half of the show, we speak with Rachel Gold, the author of a marvelous new young adult novel, Being Emily, a contemporary story of a teenager who feels like the ultimate outsider: in her brain she knows she's female, but her body is male.  Kate Bornstein, author of Gender Outlaw, has called the book "powerful and empowering, with an optimistic message that we all need more of in our lives."
