6/13/2012 Freewheelin'

Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Butch Hancock stopped by the show today along with Sweet Mama J.  They're appearing tonight at the Cedar Cultural Center as The Flatlanders.  What an honor to have these legends across the board from me.  We chatted, played a couple tracks from an advance CD they brought in and had a good time with these great guys from Texas.  Okay, let's be honest.  They're Texas royalty.  

Also played some music by Old Californio and Jerry Jeff Walker.  They're both coming to town soon.  Jerry Jeff's at Sue McLean's Music in the Zoo series.  And, Freewheelin' is presenting Old Californio plus Steve Kaul & The Brass Kings at Lee's Liquor Lounge on Friday, June 22.  I hope you'll be there.  If so, please come up and say hi.
