Home ›French Love songs on Valentine's Day
On February 14, Caryl and Olaf will be playing songs of love in French on "Bonjour Minnesota" from 8:00-10:00 PM. Old and new songs, happy and blues songs will be there for you and your valentine. There will be classics, such as Piaf's "L'Hymne à l'Amour", which she wrote for Marcel Cerdan, her great love who came to the U.S. to fight for the Middle-weight boxing championship. Edith missed him so much that she urged him to take an earlier plane home to her, and the plane crashed, killing Marcel.
All songs will have some form of the verb "aimer" or the noun, "l'amour". Join us in our salute to St. Valentin.
