Mathieu Rivière, executive director of Sofitel, is our guest this evening. Mathieu, originally from Chartres, France, will speak of seasonal food specialties such as the Bûche de Noël (Yule Log cake) and the Galette des Rois (Kings' Cake) served on January 6 (Epiphany or Kings' Day) to commemorate the arrival of the 3 kings at the stable where Jesus was born. Listeners are invited to purchase both cakes at the Sofitel Petit Marché. All are invited for a free slice of galette that may contain the prize-winning trinket, entitling the winner to wonderful prizes, such as a free overnight at Sofitel.

Mathieu will describe the wonderful dinners of the Réveillon, both Christmas and New Year's Eve. Sofitel will serve wonderful Christmas and New Year's meals in the French style.
