Kim's work is performed around the United States with an exciting 2008 season scheduled.
Along with the many grants and commissions Kim has received for her work, she was a 1997 recipient of the Bush Fellowship awarded for her playwrighting. She is an Alumni Core Member of the Playwrights' Center, an associate member of TCG, a member of the Screenwriter's Workshop, and Actor's Equity Association. She has sat on the Boards of ASSITEJ, Corning Dance Company, Intermedia Arts and At the Foot of the Mountain Theater Co. (now defunct). Kim spent a decade as an Artistic Associate at Illusion Theater in Minneapolis. Kim also has a coaching and mentoring business for organizations and artists of all kinds and levels called ART: Work-in-Process.
*Issy Mamanov*, director of Somewhere In Between:http://www.benlven.somee.com by former Israeli soldier transgender playwright Ronnie Almog will join us for a phone interview and *Louisa Hext*, US host/producer of “Somewhere In Between” will be in the studio.
Somewhere in Between addresses issues regarding gender sexual identity, religious belief, political orientation and the role of the individual in society.
Coming from Tel Aviv the performing group first performs at the Indianapolis Fringe Fest and then in Minneapolis. A Roundtable discussion w/ performers of Somewhere in Between is Wednesday September 5. 7 p.m at Amazon Bookstore Collaborative:http://www.amazonfembks.com/home.html
