Bun Loeung was a master musician originally from Cambodia. He has live in the Twin Cities since the early '80's. On 24 May he passed away. He was the founder of local groups, the New International Trio, as well as Light from Heaven, a group that focused on tradition Cambodian music. He received the 2006 Bush Grant and was also the founder of a school to teacher Cambodian music.
Century Song host Dan Rein recorded the Light from Heaven on various occassions, tune in to Century Song to hear these recordings from this local master.
