Tonight the Echo Chamber presented our annual All-Jamaican Special -- celebrating the 45th Anniversary of Jamaican Independence, and In Memoriam for Robert, my late father-in-law who passed away 8 years ago on July 27th. So, this All-Jamaican celebration we like to call One Fe Robert. And naturally, it included so many great artists from all the eras of Jamaican music, but with emphasis on Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, and Dub: Justin Hinds the Dominoes, Junior Byles, John Holt, Bob Marley the Wailers, Lee Perry the Upsetters, Marcia Griffiths, Winston Rodney (Burning Spear), Horace Andy, Hopeten Lewis The Chosen Few, The Jamaicans, Black Uhuru, Culture, King Tubby, Max Romeo, Augustus Pablo, Prince Far I the Arabs, Niney the Observer, Larry Marshall, Val Bennett, Dave Ansel Collins, Judy Mowatt, Johnny Clarke, The Heptones, Millie Small, Jimmy Cliff, Derrick Morgan, The Skatalites, Clint Eastwood General Saint, Gregory Isaacs, Yellowman, Carlton Patterson, Jackie Mittoo, I Roy, Yabby You, Dennis Brown, Marcia Aitken Trinity, and Tommy McCook. Wow, what an incredible list of great Jamaican artists....and what an incredible episode of the Echo Chamber. We were really feeling irie in this Jamdown special.....One Fe Robert.
