Brice Woodall From Chicago Starts His Midwest Tour Right Here at KFAI
Originally from Virginia, Brice Woodall arrived in Chicago in 2005 and immediately began putting his own take on indie folktronica all over the map. It's difficult to fit his work into a genre box; his songs are simultaneously digital and lushly organic, accessible and mysterious, playful and dark. He's been called the Thom Yorke of the south and the Andrew Bird of outer space. I'm guessing you haven't heard an artist like this since Neil Zumwalde. (Remember him?) We featured him on the "Previously" segment along with Cher Dial's interview with Dolly Parton's sister and the Twin Town Spin Down by Mr. ATM.
