Mothers of daughters today are worried, some desperately so. Too many preteens and teens are depressed, overweight, promiscuous, stressed out, and/or disconnected from the family. Mothers are at their wit’s end as they try to solve the emotional and physical puzzles that their daughters have become. Nisha Jackson’s latest book, Surviving the Teenage Hormone Takeover: A Guide for Moms, couldn’t come at a better time. It addresses some of the most common health problems experienced by today’s teens and provides moms with practical guidelines for helping their daughters.
